In our purpose-built workshop the requirements are incredibly varied. Restoration can range from a deep buttoned Queen Anne chair, a Georgian bergère, a Charles Eames c20th classic or an Ikea daybed.

Loose covers
Choosing loose covers will help keep costs down and provide the flexibility of washable fabrics. With children or pets around your sofa can still look great.

Don’t think that your furniture is beyond rescue, it may be far better than an expensive new alternative but simply needs a major service.

You can also order matching accessories, scatter cushions, table runners and dining chair covers made-to-measure.

Stain protection service
Guard your new or existing upholstery from staining with a protective treatment, we treat your furniture in our workshop.

Ideas and advice

Please email us a photo and rough measurements of your furniture and we will be able to give you a guide to fabric requirements and price.

If your furniture needs repair our cabinet maker is on hand to provide full restoration services.

Our dedicated team is available to guide you through the fabric samples in our interior design library. If you want greater input we also have an Interior Design Service, please call to make an appointment.

Sample and measuring service
We can also visit you with a selection of pattern books when we call to take measurements.

When you have narrowed down your choices we can order samples of furnishing fabric and they will be sent directly to you. 

Collection and delivery
E & A Wates can collect and deliver your furniture, please check our FAQs or drop off and collect your furniture anytime during opening hours, we have a customer car park behind our showroom.
